Well it seems YUM still doesn't like it much.  This is the result of 
running a search for those files:
#> yum -y info x11-video-fglrx

Setting up repositories
not using ftp, http[s], or file for repos, skipping -  
http://www2.ati.com/suse/
Cannot find a valid baseurl for repo: ATI files
Error: Cannot find a valid baseurl for repo: ATI files


That resulted in both KYum and yum from the shell.
