Not completely true: on digg.com they gave a hack, on how to FOOL sites to believe you have Flash 9 installed. http://xubuntu.wordpress.com/2006/08/14/flash-9-for-xubuntu/ Basically, the idea is just to change the version stamp. If a site makes usage of Version 8 or 9 script commands, they will not work.
