Pretty much the same with Krita, part of the KOffice suite of programs. Krita gives you a bit of the professional level tools though, plus it will do 16/24 bit pictures which gimp won't do without some loss. Kolourpaint will load one too, but it's tools are simpler if you're just wanting to do something quickly and easily.
