I was able to resolve this: Due to some veeeery old mechanism, we used sth. like "startx& logout" to start X. Therefore the resmgr permissions were revoked during logout and so users didn't have any access via resmgr when X comes up. "resmgr list" showed an empty list of deviced. We changed that so that the permissions given at login were kept when starting X, and now ivman works for users, too. cu, Frank -- Dipl.-Inform.
