Siegbert, there are some kernel developers that do considers binary only drivers a violation of the GPL. Just googling around found me the following: http://kororaa.org/index.php?entry=entry060512-160752
We at Novell have decided to respect the view of the kernel developers as owner of it. It might be that you're right and there's no violation - or perhaps none for a specific module but some for other modules, or you're wrong. But this is something for lawyers to discuss and I cannot comment further on the legal side of this, Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, [EMAIL PROTECTED], http://www.suse.de/~aj/ SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126
