His camera worked? Been meaning to ask- I have 10.1 running on an older laptop (PIII/600) and the camera doesn't register when I plug it in. I know the usb connection works, since 10.1 sees the usb thumb drive when I plug it in. I take it, there must be a tweek that I overlooked....

My little brother switched to OpenSUSE today!

Reasons:
* Didn't have to plop out alot of money on Microsoft Office (and OOo
looks ugly in XP)
* His iPod just works.. iTunes crashes all the time on his PC
* His digital camera just works
* Printer sharing? Alot more reliable

This is on an older Dimension 2400 that came stock with Windows XP,
converted to SUSE Linux 10.1 w/ GNOME. Gotta say, if people just use it
once, they are amazed at how much better it is (and not just morally and
ethically) :)
