Greetings, I've been having a problem with floppy disks. Occasionally someone in the office will bring me a floppy that they can't read on their Macs, and ask me to open it for them. I try to mount the floppy as root, and I get the following error message:
mount: unknown filesystem type 'subfs' The line in my /etc/fstab for the floppy drive is: /dev/fd0 /media/floppy subfs noauto, fs=floppyfss, procuid, nodev, nosuid, sync 0 0 0 which is what was setup when I did the system install. I've not been able to figure out what to do to solve this problem. It's on any floppy that I try to open. I can go to a Windows machine and open them every time.
