Hey,
as Rapid7 releases a security advisor, we all can see how important it would be to get some good opensource drivers including 3D support for grpahic chips.
The binary driver from nVidia is thus vulnurable to a root exploit, which in fact was known to nVidia for about 2 years already. The latest version (1.0-8774) are still affected. Only the upcoming drivers (currently beta drivers of 1.0-9xxx) have this fixed.
