It took us a bit longer due to some blocker fixes that made installation impossible.
I'm always announcing on opensuse-announce, so subscribe there if you're interested. Once I start releasing I'll also update the "Most Annoying Bugs page (http://en.opensuse.org/Bugs:Most_Annoying_Bugs) with a planned release date. I collect there important bugs and note that we're in the release process. I had mentioned there yesterday that the release is planned to be 2006-10-11.
