Sorry to break the thread, but I wanted to shut Kmail down and see if the suggestion worked. It didn't. I went to Settings>Configure Kmail>Appearance>Colors>New Message. which showed red, and snapped on that, and selected black, then I waited for a new message. Red. I really want the message listing to be in black. How?
To be more specific, if I haven't been, the message _text_ has been converted to black, by fiddling with this in the past.
