Why sure you silly newbie any old one of us high and mighty farts 
could have told ya that you simply edit the setting for  dev/sda2  
out of  /etc/fstab  and all will be well at next logon.  But we're 
too busy to give a moments consideration to anything that isn't 
completely off topic so that we can discuss THAT ad naseum.
