Now that you found your answer, maybe you won't have 
a DSL provider like Sprint, now Embarq, who uses Redback 
servers which won't automatically renew the IP when it is 
released by the client. At that point one has to call DSL tech 
support and suffer through the first-tier dumbass to actually 
get the service restored or you can wait a few hours to see if 
it does it on its own. Oh, yeah, they are the only broadband 
provider available. Once I learned what not to do, I never
try to reset the dhcp. Not to them, anyway.
