Just as an aside, do you think it might be something to do with IPV6? Ive not
updated the kernel to the same version as Sven's, but after tweaking both the
sysconfig settings and Firefox's about:config page to ignore IPV6, my browser
hasn't had a freeze or pause on a site for a long time.
Just a thought.
Well, I will try that as soon as I'm home! Could this behavior also be
provoked by a wrong MTU value on the router and/or the network device?
In contrary to my first statement I noticed yesterday that browsing on
my other computer (also OpenSuSE 10.1) is slow, too.
I'm almost sure that the MTU on my router is set to 1492.
