You will want to add both the installation repository and the addon installation repository to your package manager. There are also many third-party repositories listed at http://en.opensuse.org/Additional_YaST_Package_Repositories that are particularly valuable, especially Packman and suser-jengelh.
If you are looking for security and bugfix updates, then you need to add the updates repository to your update manager.
