Hi Peter,

I have similar expirianse, but on diffirent way, ectualy I mess up with DVD-RW 
in fstab and mtab ... anyway my system would not start at all. Then I 
rebooted from SuSE 10.1 DVD (ISO image download) and tried option "repair 
system" to my suprise SuSE fix it comletly.
