For Vista, the minimum is 1 gigabyte (GB) of RAM to run the operating system with all of the Aero visual enhancements enabled and have two or three applications open at the same time. Vista can bog down to an intolerably slow pace without enough RAM. Two gigabytes of RAM would be preferable. As you can see, a new PC may be a good idea."
