checked off means patch has dependencies satisfied so it does not need to be
applied.

Since 10.1 patches work like a policy, once you install it, you only install a
policy enforcing certain dependencies. Packages are grabbed only if they are
needed.

That is different from 10.0 where only packages that were going to be
upgraded were marked right?? Do the check marks have different colors,
blue and black I saw some updates with black today that got installed?
