I'm using the one available at
  <ftp://ftp.uni-kl.de/pub/linux/suse/update/10.2/>
and already had a bunch of updates for my installation of
openSUSE 10.2, e.g. Firefox, GPG or ImageMagick.

Definitely not.  If you want to be notified for available
