I did not read it in 10.2 but I read it long time ago (suse 9.x).
But I could build the very same program on 10.1 flowlessly and 
earlier versions of it on 10.0, 9.3, 9.2 and 9.1 with no problem.
10.2 is the only one where it chocked that's why I thought that 
this might be a bug in 10.2.
