G'day, Does anyone know where I can get a package to install Kaboodle on Suse 10.2 that will play mp3 files? The kdemultimedia3 package on the Suse site doesn't want to open any mp3 files.
I rely on kaboodle to play files from a remote web server that requires authentication and only kaboodle seems to work with konqueror. If I open the file in realplayer or noatun from Konqueror, they prompt me for a username & password, but the authentication fails. Kaboodle (at least on FreeBSD) just works without prompting for authentication - it obviously gets konqui to do that for it. I can use Firefox to play them in real-player, but it downloads the entire file and then opens it in realplayer, whereas kaboodle on my FreeBSD system plays the file as it downloads which is very nice :-) Cheers, -- Ian gpg key: http://home.swiftdsl.com.au/~imoore/no-spam.asc
