[opensuse] USB joystick

Any info on how (whether) to configure a USB joystick under 10.2? Logitech 
Extreme 3D Pro to be specific. All info I have searched refers only to 
gameport (soundcard) joysticks; this is in my on-computer docs as well as the 
SUSE SDB. Any help appreciated.
