It's also unlikely multiple people
would have it crashing because of the cache.
Not quite so :-) , in fact more than possible because the people could
have gone to the same site - or similarly configured sites - and Cached
a badly coded page which is then causing the problem everytime they go
to that site. If you read the mozilla.org ('private') Firefox newsgroup
you will find clearing the Cache is a reasonably common way of fixing
problems.
