think: when you buy Windows, you can barely do anything. No
msword, no excel. You are already lucky if the mobo drivers
are installed.
and as soon as you change anything in the box (video card,
for example, but the slightest chage will do) you are prone
to browse the net searching drivers.
on the contrary, install openSUSE, follow the directives to
have all the update sources and voilà, you have nearly all
at hand.
and you can change nearly anything in the computer you will
have a perfectly booting computer
