zenworks is a comercial Novell application. Part of it is
opensource and used by openSUSE, namely zen-updater, used to
update management of packages.
The first coming of zen-updater on 10.1 was terrible
-enormous cpu usage, extremely long access time...- but that
was mostly fixed and now 10.1 runs pretty well (I still use
10.1)
however zen-updater is probably still quite slow and
ressource expensive and some people find it unusefull.
so you may stay with it if you don't notice it's running, so
long so good.
is ever this little app was a problem for you, you have many
clues on the wiki to get rid of it
