Yes, discovering email is a wonderful experience.

Spammers now are sending random text and html, with the real payload in a
gif image. Whereas spam emails used to have 5..10 KiB, now they have
20..50 KiB. I have seen some that obfuscate the graphic with what I think
must be "tempest" fonts or techniques so that OCR of the image will fail,
and it will be passed by antispammers analyzing the images.
It's a war :-(
I have lost email communication with a relative overseas due to malware
and spam crashing her computer as soon as she plugs it. A friend repairs
it, it goes down in less than a month. I can't go there and install linux,
too far.

Worst offenders are people using outlook from a company account. Network
is no expense! So they send HUGE presentations to a hundred friends.
But yes, it is OT.
If only Linux was mandatory default installed system for newly bought PCs! :-P
