no, I did not upgrade gnome .. I added the gnome repo in an attempt to upgrade EVO -- but that upgrade process failed due to unresolved dependencies. EVO still "works" though, I am not very pleased with it (which is why I was hoping to upgrade ...) I then just dropped it and moved on ... which is where trying to get rid of the stuff from the gnome repo comes in ...
