Don't confuse that page with this one:

  <http://en.opensuse.org/Restricted_Formats>

They are different, with different legal limitations, and thus, different 
information.

I don't have problems playing mp3 with the programs I use.

But there is no way that they will work out of the box, at least for the 
time being. Take it or leave it...  :-(
