Several of the processes are dbus-daemon and gnome-vfs-daemon... the
first is
the peer ipc message bus daemon and the second is the peer virtual file
system daemon. It looks like these procs are not receiving (or not handling)
the hup signal from the parent... or they're running nohup--- and yes, this
may be normal... don't know.... but I am intrigued.
