Both drives and blank media are dropping rapidly in price. Sooner or later, quality will suffer. I have had some bad blank disks. When I burn a CD or DVD, I enable verify, so that I can tell if the disk was burned properly or not. So, when I create a SUSE CD or DVD from ISO, I 1) verify md5sum 2) verify on burn 3) verify in Yast Even then, I occasionally get a disk that passes the above and then goes bad later. Also a poor quality or out of spec drive will create disks that are not usable in other drives. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
