Thought I would post an update on this.  Worked with bugzilla support on
this, too.

The hwinfo --netcard output showed that there were two driver commands
listed for the Marvell Yukon onboard NIC - sk98lin and skge.  Sk98lin was
listed as 'not active' and skge as 'active'.

I tested enabling the NIC manually with modprobe and ifup commands.  The NIC
enabled as eth1 when using the skge driver.

In YaST, I changed the DFI 88E8001 NIC hardware configuration, replacing the
sk98lin driver with skge.  Rebooting enables the NIC as eth1, as expected.
Occasionally, eth1 is renamed to eth4, as seen in the boot messages.
