That looks like you're trying to connect to the VNC port, and not the webvnc port. Normal vnc is port 5900+screen, so screen 1 is 5901. webvnc is 5800+screen The grey screen could be that you haven't restarted kdm yet. This needs restarting, so the new settings can take effect. Try running "rcxdm restart" and then try vnc again On the other hand, if you have restarted xdm (or rebooted the entire server) since setting Remote Administration in yast, then something else must be wrong.
