Well it might have downloaded stuff but after a while, at least 
according to kinternet icon, there was not any internet activity, 
still ksmarttray used a lot of CPU and seemed to do nothing.

If you read my message you could see that the line I pasted 
from top window clearly showed that smart had been run by 
root.
