Maybe I just don't understand the premise... I routinely type with my left hand because I am using the mouse with my right. I guess that I could swap sides if necessary. I have not noticed any difference between using the keyboard with Windows or Linux, so I would have to say that it is possible to type one-handed on Linux since that's what I am doing right now.
