It's currently attached to my wife's Windoz machine. It is configured to recognize an incoming fax on a line that has an answering machine as well as a modem. Brother systems tend to be very Linux friendly also. While I used to like Canon printers, Canon can only spell Windows. Always go to http://www.linux-foundation.org/en/OpenPrinting to check out how well the printer you want is supported under Linux. HP generally supports their printers and has a very strong Linux community (www.hp.com/go/linux), but the printer division may come out with products that are supported only by Windows. The HP link also has a link to printers. Epsons tend to support Linux also. -- Jerry Feldman <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Boston Linux and Unix user group http://www.blu.org PGP key id:C5061EA9 PGP Key fingerprint:053C 73EC 3AC1 5C44 3E14 9245 FB00 3ED5 C506 1EA9
