If you use that description, it can be said about that other operating
system that a file is also an entry in a table ;-)
Only the name is diferent, and the structure, and the use... but still, a
table.

Actually, that other filesystem can also have hardlinks. I have seen it
done. However, that operating system knows nothing about it, and may
destroy it (by simply deleting it, you'd get corruption).
