Oops, sorry about the message threading problem.  I never read mailing lists 
threaded,
so I forget about that. Shouldn't, as I usually switch to GMane before too 
long...

Anyway, what is the easiest way to install KDE?  Is there some kind of 
"meta-port" like
in FreeBSD that will select the basic packages needed? I see that kdebase and 
kdelibs
are already installed.  What else do I need to get a basic KDE desktop?
