- and this is an OpenSUSE list and I'm asking a SLES10 question, sigh...
- please bear with me.

I need to install a new 2.6.18-something-whatever kernel onto my SLES10 box.
Can I find a ready baked 2.6.18 somewhere or can someone direct me to a
how-to or something...

I allready downloaded a 2.6.18-something-latest from kernel.org. Untarred it
and placed it into /usr/src/linux-2.6.18.something-very-own-kernel. Original
SLES10 kernel sources are all installed and in place.
I then did a make oldconfig, seemed to work or something I don't understand.

I then edited .config, changed a line stating what version.

Then I proceded with make bzImage. This break after some 10 minutes with a
missing module. I can give the exact errors if needed, only I feel that I'm
on a generally wrong path. In fact I am, replacing the kernel of a SLES10 is
a BAD idea. But these guys wants this done..something with vmware and so
forth. So, ok...
