System = Dell Inspiron E1505/6400 OS = OpenSuse10.2 VidCard = ATI Radeon Mobility X1400 Reference: http://en.opensuse.org/ATI When I generate a distribution-specific driver package for ATI driver 8.35.5, performance is severely degraded and XGL is disabled. I ended up having to revert back to driver version 8.34.8 to get performance and XGL working. Well, somewhat working. About half the time I boot up, the X server either hangs with a black screen, or gives me a "display 0 busy" error.
