If you tried to upgrade, the upgrade starts, and it chrashes, you can no 
longer try to upgrade: the status of the system will be unknown, mixed, 
and probably broken.

You have to avenues: 1) restore the full backup you should have done 
before starting the procedure and try the upgrade again or 2) install 
fresh.

If you didn't made a backup, then backup what you can and install fresh.
