Not sure, but have you tried to add "suse" behind your url above?

Yes, it accepted the url
http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/10.2/repo/src-oss/suse/ and
downloaded and scanned the catalogs, but nothing new appears in
Software Management. I have also tried several mirrors with no better
results.
