Some of us live in the UK and don't even speak English as our first language. I don't, for one.

It appears the writer was showing which part of the UK. For example, US (New
York).

Nice to see that the UK is one big happy family, Welsh and Scots included.

Don't think so, because I was one of the ones who replied to him from the UK: and I'm not in England.

I don't recall anyone specifying that they were in England, any more than I specified that I'm in Wales.
