Phillipe, I agree with you. There are few thread in how use the driver in a 64b but It did not do it for me. Well I probably did not spent enough time trying to hack the epson drivers. This was the main reason I decided to get the 4990. I have been using 64b since SuSE 9.0 so I was not going to go back because of the scanner. BTW iscan is not too bad but I prefer xsane which it does not work.
