Assuming you did a pretty standard install, you should have samba running
on your 10.2 system.  Use YaST (System->Configuration->YaST), click on Network
Services, and click on Samba Server. Make sure it is started at boot time,
and you have your firewall settings correct. In the identity folder, set
the Workgroup to be the correct one. Now you should be able to browse your
windows network, assuming you have the correct rights set there.

Now, in KDE for example, if I click on my Home icon, then the System icon
on the bottom left, I can open up the "Remote Places" tree item and I see
"SMB Shares" (not a real friendly name, but this is your Windows network).
Open that and I see my workgroup and I can browse away.
