I elect not to have HAL assign media as I load / connect it, which means I
manually mount everything.
I know that my dvd writers are /dev/hdb and /dev/sro, and that my sata drives
are /dev/sda, for example.
What devices does my Sansa mp3 player use? There are two of them, one for the
player itself and another for the installed micro-SD chip. Also, when
connected the player behaves like two usb drives.
