I bought Toshiba Notebook that came with the hardware below.
VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS/940GML
Express Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03)
Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8101E PCI
Express Fast Ethernet controller (rev 01)
Network controller: Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network
Connection (rev 02)
The VGA controller work fine with some restriction. I want to use
my external LCD panel with 1280x1024 of resolution and the notebook
panel with 1280x800 of resolution. I tried a lot of ways but can't
solve.
The Ethernet controller Realtek 8101E don't work, but I can set IP
address for the interface using ifconfig command. The inteface
backlight don't work too. This interface is working when I reboot in
rWindows.
The Wireless 3945abg work fine, but I have problems with
knetworkmanager, that can't recognized wireless interface when I use a
common user.
Can someone help me?
