Well it seems I got bit by the 4 gigs of ram in the system. I took out 2 gigs an tried to install an so far it got past the partitioning an formatting of the disks. I'm at 45 % of the install process. So for now this is solved or should be. Now after the installation process I will see if I can add back in the other 2 gigs of ram.
