And this is the gui answer... if you have a file (or directory) that
you want
to share, then you can use konqueror file management (browser) to change the
file's attributes.
Right click on the item with your mouse...
... then click the "properties" .
Then, click the Permissions tab at the top of the dialog...
... and set them as you like.
