What you have done is cloning the dvd structure (sector by sector) into an 
existing partition, obliterating that partition previous structure. And 
the partition table is not updated - nor that it would be possible, there 
is no partition type "iso".

though, it would probably be readable, even mountable by a running linux, 
playing with fstab first. To boot from that I think is asking too much.
