Hi Michel, thanks for your answer! I have been on the site of Benoit Papillault (that now leads to http://speedtouch.sourceforge.net/ ) but the information there says: "Si vous utilisez un noyau linux >= 2.6.10, vous devez utiliser le module noyau à la place. Allez voir à http://www.linux-usb.org/SpeedTouch\ /. Dans ce cas, vous n'avez absolument pas besoin de ce logiciel." My french is very very poor, but as much as I understand this software is not necessary with 10.2 anymore. However I installed the "firmware" as told on the SUSE Howto page, just with no success so far... I too think it would be better to have a router attached to the ethernet. Can you tell me which router you use? On the orange.fr site I only found the "Web Modem Routeur eXtense Pro" - do you know this one? Must the router be kind of special for wanadoo or could I also use a common "cheap" one I buy here in Switzerland (like a Zyxel 650 or the like)? Can this router then be used "normally"? (i.e. all "connection stuff" to the internet is done by the router itself, configured by its own [browser-] interface, and the connection to the Computer is just a common ethernet connection)? Or ist there also need for special software/drivers/firmware/...? Do you now use PPPoE with the router? Sorry for many questions... thanks for your help!
