I would file a bugzilla directly against the kernel at kernel.org.
Or you could post an e-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] (you should
not need to subscribe.)
FYI: There are several kernel developers that monitor linux-ide. One
of them is Tejun Heo. He works for Suse and I assume is responsible
for the sata kernel driver in opensuse.
